The Model 98250 is a rechargeable battery for the Motorola Model MT7711 Cable Modem/Router/Phone Gateway. The Model 98250 battery allows the MT7711 gateway to continue providing Comcast XFINITY telephone service Right through a power outage. Once installed, this battery might take as much as 24 hours to completely charge. It’s going to remain charged even as the modem is plugged in to working AC power. The battery light at the MT7711 will blink even as charging and when fully charged. When AC power is lost, an absolutely charged battery will provide 8 hours on standby, or 5 hours of active call “talk time”. Right through AC power loss the Model 98250 battery allows continued operation of the Comcast XFINITY telephone service only.
